Athlete Biography

Amy Sheehan grew up surfing in Byron Bay before moving to New Zealand where she learnt to ski with her dad and brother.

Her brother Lyndon has also been selected for the Sochi Games in Halfpipe, however he will be representing New Zealand.

Sheehan had a blistering 2013/2014 season to qualify for the Olympic Games. She was top 10 in three of four World Cups and in January won back-to-back bronze medals at the Calgary and Breckenridge World Cup events. Sheehan was the only female Ski Halfpipe athlete to finish on the podium in two events. She finished her Sochi preparation with 8th at the X Games.

Sheehan is coached by her fiancé Chris Boghokian.

On the side she is also a published author and illustrator of children's books. Look out for her 'SkierAmy' series coming soon.
